1st day in Salzburg

We had a full on day in Salzburg after arriving on the overnight train we dropped our bags and went straight into town for a guided tour of the ancient city. We saw the many places that The Sound of Music was filmed, Mozarts birthplace, house and the Cathedral he was baptised in. We also boarded a gondola to see Fortress Hohensalznurg a castle overlooking the town, the valley and river and the snow capped alps that surround it. Some of us also squeezed in a trip to Mirabella Gardens despite the rain. Sorry about the lack of pictures, there has been very unreliable internet connections for the last few days.
