Passchendaele Platoon Experience

Today students and teachers dressed in full WWI ANZAC uniforms including boots, trousers, tunics, steel helmets, rifles, gas masks, puttees and belts. While dressed we were assigned to a role, character and platoon and reenacted the footsteps of the ANZACS in 1917 as they forced back the German lines from Ypres to Passchendaele.

The students performed very well and really got an appreciation for how difficult it was for our diggers in these and much worse conditions.
